  • Director of the Advanced Operative and Adhesive Dentistry programme and the Master of Science in Biomaterials and Digital Dentistry at the USC.
  • Editor-in-chief of the journal Quintessence of Dental Technology (QDT).
  • Has worked on editorial boards of several journals and given conferences and practical courses nationally and internationally in aesthetic dentistry, biomaterials, minimally invasive dentistry and adhesion.
  • Has taught cutting-edge clinical techniques and technologies related to aesthetic and adhesive dentistry.
  • Dr. Duarte's scientific work has received government and commercial funding. In addition, he works as a consultant for several manufacturers. 
  • His research and clinical work centres on the areas of adhesion, composites, ceramics and CAD/CAM.
