•    Certified in Orthodontics in 1988 from the Dental School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
•    Specialisation in Orthodontics at the University of Ferrara in 2003.
•    Involved in various clinical and research projects, from nonextraction therapy with Dr. Norman Cetlin to periodontally facilitated orthodontics.
•    Leader on the CCO system within Europe and Italy.
•    National and international speaker and several publications in Italian and international orthodontics journals.
•    Author of several books and atlases on nonextraction technique.
•    Adjunct professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry from 1988 to 2000.
•    Clinical adjunct professor at the University of Parma from 1996 to 2000 and the University of Ferrara since 2003.
•    Member of various orthodontics scientific bodies.
•    President of the  Accademia Italiana di Ortodonzia in 2010 and Scientific Secretary in of the society 2008-2009.
•    Active member of the Angle Society of Europe since 2005.
