Protocol for cementation of CAD/CAM restorations
Laura Ceballos
The use of CAD-CAM technology has led to the development of new ceramic materials, composites and hybrids, designed primarily for adhesive restorations. The clinical success of these restorations largely depends on their cementing being performed correctly. Therefore, during the presentation, the different surface treatments proposed for currently available CAD-CAM materials will be reviewed, emphasising the effect they have on their composition and structure. The adhesive process to be carried out on hard dental tissues will also be described, as well as the criteria for selecting the cementing component.
